BISHOP OF AOTEAROA.
CONSECRATION CEREMONY. ARRANGEMENTS WELL ADVANCED. NAPIER, November 22. The consecration of the Bishop-elect of Aotearoa (the Rev. F. A. Bennett) will take place in St. John’s Cathedral, Napier, on Sunday, December 2. All the Anglican bishops of New Zealand will be present, including the Primate (Archbishop Averill), who will consecrate the new bishop. A great assemblage of clergy is also expected. Special accommodation arrangements are being made at Pakipaki, near Hastings, for the very large number of Maoris who are coming from all parts to attend the ceremony; in which great interest is being taken by both Maoris and Europeans.
