A definite assurance that the Government intended to give complete effect to the recommendations of the National I’ - dustrial Conference in regard to the setting up of a committee to consider immigration and unemployment, was given to a deputation representing the Labour movement by the Prime Minister and Minister of Labour on Thursday. Mr Coates also- told the deputation that legislation dealing with workers’ compensation was being prepared.
