CITY CORPORATION FINANCES.
LOANS FOR THE YEAR. The following loans were raised by the City Council during the year:— Public Works Loan (part) .. £58,800 Antecedent Liability Loan (part) 40,800 Waipori Falls Loan, 1928 (part 48,400 Tramways Extension Loan (part) 16,800 Mornington Tramway Renewal Loan 27,000 Water Department, Roslyn Renewal Loan .. 13,000 £204,800 In addition to the above, the Drainage Board raised new loans for £69,500 and a renewal loan of £50,000. This makes a grand total of £324,300 issued during about six months of the year. All these debentures were sold over the counter at par and carry interest at 54 per cent.
