EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS.
NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATION. AUCKLAND, August 25. New Zealand is to be represented at the twenty-nineth Internatiaonal Eucharistic Congress at Sydney next month by about 800 pilgrims. Bishop Liston, Monsignors Cahill and Ormond, and Dr Buxton, representatives of the Auckland Diocese at the congress, are due to leave Auckland on Monday evening to join the Makura at Wellington. Archbishop O’Shea and Bishops Brodie and Whyte will travel by the same boat to Sydney. Fellow passengers of the New Zealand prelates will be the Archbishop of San Francisco, who is to preach the occasional sermon at the opening of St. Mary’s Cathedral on September, several bishops from the United States, and a number of Knights of Columbus. Two chartered steamers with large delegations are now on their way to Sydney from Philadelphia and the Philippines.
