CITY BUILDINGS.

The following appeared in last week’s Second Edition.

A COMPARATIVE STATEMENT. The following details regarding the building operations in the city, for the year ending March 31, 1928, are included in the annual departmental reports:— Building operations are still maintained in a satisfactory manner, all trades being fully employed. Domestic buildings are in demand; business premises not being so much in evidence. One hundred and nineteen dwellings costing £700; 93 dwellings costing £800; 53 dwellings costing £900; 73 dwellings costing £lOOO and 10 dwellings costing over £2OOO were erected. The following are the permits issued compared with the corresponding year,
