No surprise is expressed when a motor cyclist is observed to be carrying a passenger, generally of the fair sex, on the pillion seat, for this is now of such frequent occurrence that it excites little comment (says the Wanganui Chronicle). But there is a growing practice among riders of the humble “push bike” of carrying a passenger on the bar between the saddle and the handlebars. One evening no fewer than three young ladies were observed being conveyed down Victoria avenue in this manner, and they seemed to enjoy the interest that they aroused among passersby,
