Talking about the ill wind, the present visitation of influenza in Blenheim has had the effect of cleaning up the local “Comic cuts” market (states the Marlborough Express). Booksellers report that the demand by parents for “comics” for their convalescent children has resulted in a severe shortage of gloomchasers, and the next consignment cannot arrive too soon to satisfy the clamorous demands.
