More speed from the Christchurch-to-Greymoutli expresses is being asked for by people on the West Coast (states the Christchurch Sun). To help to get it, the Greymouth Chamber of Commerce is seeking the support of the Canterbury Progress League in its negotiations with the Railways Department. It is contended that many of the wayside stops on the route might well be eliminated, especially now that the department has taken over the Christehurch-to-Spring-field bus service.
