MENACE TO THE PUBLIC.
MOTOR CYCLIST PROSECUTED. AUCKLAND. May 10. Fines totalling £lB were imposed on a motor cyclist, Thomas Dennis, aged 25, who was charged in the Police Court with dangerous driving on two occasions, causing undue noise, driving without - a license, and giving a false name and address.
According to Inspector Treadgold of the One Tree Hill Road Board, the defendant bad travelled at about 50 miles and 56 miles an hour. “Motor cycles are his trouble,” he added. “Whenever he rides one he becomes light-headed.
He has had five previous convictions for dangerous driving.” The Defendant said he did not wish to ride a motor cycle again, and had disposed of his machine.
