“ I am a bit fed up with conferences. A number of people get up,, and do a lot of talking, but there is nothing done,’’ declared Mr J. H. Absolum, amidst laughter, at a meeting of the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society, when offering his objections to accepting appointment as delegate to the annual conference of the New Zealand Royal Agricultural Society. ■ The enrolment of prospective members for the Canterbury Aero Club continues to increase. At the meeting held recently at which it was- decided to establish such a club. 90 handed in their names as being desirous to join, and the number has now increased to 115. In the meantime a sub-committee is busily engaged in the preparation of a draft constitution and rules, and these I will lie submitted at the next meeting | of the General Committee, to be heid on Tuesday next.
