A Wanganui resident the other evening was giving his little daughter a lesson in tautology and the meaning of useless words . and repetition, such as “ The dawn is overcast, the morning lowers and heavy clouds bring in the day.” Later he decided to find out whether his advice had made an impression on the plastic mind, and he said to the little girl: “ What is that, word I explained to you the other evening referring to repeating a thing twice? ” The little girl thought for a while and then remarked: “ I know dad, bigamy.”
