Signs of the remarkable season experienced during the past few- months were mentioned to a Wanganui Herald representative recently by an observer. He remarked that, many willow trees were displaying their third lot of leaves for the season, plum and other fruit trees were thickly covered with new leaves that have sprung into being during the past few weeks, and blossoms were appearing on many fruit trees. As for lucerne, our informant said he knew of instances where the fifth crop of the season was now being cut.
