AUCKLAND DOMAIN.
ADDITIONAL ATTRACTIONS. AUCKLAND, May 2. The palmhouse and pergola which have been added to the existing winter garden at the Auckland Domain were handed over to the City of Auckland this afternoon by Sir George Elliot, ehairman of directors of the Bank of New Zealand, on behalf of a group of citizens who provided the sum of £ll,OOO for the erection of the structures. In acknowledging the handsome gift, the Mayor (Mr G. Baildou) said the glasshouse, the palmbonse, and the pergola were valuable additions to the attractions of the domain. Auckland was indebted to the generosity of the group of citizens who had voluntarily subscribed the money for their erection.
