MISHAP TO THE GALE.
SAFELY TOWED TO WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON. April 22. When the tug Terawhiti was towing the Gale the tow-line broke, and the Gale drifted shorewards into shallow water where the Terawfliiti could not follow. Captain MTntyre, of the Wanganui tug Kahanui, noticing the position, went in and got a line aboard the Gale and towed her to Wellington. The statement that the Terawhiti had got the tow-line round her propeller is incorrect.
