According to the W anganui Chronicle; six drapery firms in that city have gone into liquidation during the summer season. The commercial instinct appears to be highly developed in some local youngsters (says the Opunake Times). At a meeting of -the Golf Club it was stated that some of them dq quite a roaring trade in “ lost ” balls. It "was decided that in future no member is to pay more than 6d for a ball and that no balls are to be “ found ” until they have stopped rolling.
