With th© shipment from Gisborne of approximately 3000 cases of apples by the Parera for Wellington last week, the whole of last season’s export for that town has been exceeded.
In spite of the recent heavy rain the peat fires in the • Ruakura swamp, Waikato, are still burning, showing that the fires ara very deep-seated.
