It was the intention of the Waihi Gold Mining Company’s officials to carry on under the Summer Time Act for another month if the workmen were agreeable, and with this end in view a ballot was taken at the mine the other day, which resulted in a 50 per cent, majority in favour of continuance. However, difficulties cropped up in the matter of transport, and the working of the battery at IVaikino. therefore, wll be carried on according to ordinary time.
