A Christchurch constable called at a Linwood h ~e a few days ago to make mquiries about a stolen bicycle (states the Sun). When the constable returned to the roadway he found that his own bicycle had been stolen! In consequence of the improved condition of the overseas market for New Zealand butter, the Wellington price has been advanced by Id per lb. - - ■
