Built up oyer a long period of years the library of the Wellington Chorll Union has become one of considerable value, and erf this the members may justly feel proud (says the Evening Post). “I am rather struck with tho size and quality of your library, remarked the new conductor of the society (Mr J Bishop), at the recepto him on Tuesday night. Never outside London have I come across such i fine library in the possession of any amateur society.’ He added that he was 8 4 r ® 11 I)een the work and ambition ot the eommrttee to build up a valuable library, and he felt proud to become associated with a society which was actuated by so keen a desire to progress.
