Touching on the matter of tipping in the course of an interview with a Manawatu Evening Standard reporter on Monday, Mr M. Cohen, who returned to Palmerston North last week from hig''visit to the United- States, said it was interesting to note that the aggregate tips received bv negro porters in Pullnv«n crus thron- hout that country amounted to 7,(XX),OOOdol per annum.
