HANDICAPS for the Second Day will be posted at the Club’s Office at 8 p.m. on First Day’s- Races, and ACCEPTANCES will close at 9 o’clock the same evening. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races to be run under the New Zealand Racing Conference, and trotting events under the New Zealand Trotting Association rules. All nominations and acceptances must be accompanied by the necessary fees, otherwise they may be deemed informal. Any entry made by telegram or telephone must be confirmed in writing forthwith, giving full particulars. Owners and trainers are reminded of Rule V, Part XV, Rules of Racing. Entries to state, age, colour, and pedigree of horse, name of owner and trainer, colours of rider, and performances of all horses not known to the handicapper. Note: All I riders must appear in ' proper costume, and ride in the colours declared, or a substantial fine will be imposed. This rule will be strictly carried out. By the entering of a horse every person haring, or subsequently acquiring, an Interest in such horse, shall be deemed thereby to undertake, neither directly nor indirectly, not to make any wager with a bookmaker in connection with such horse, or any other horse in the race in which such horse is so entered. Each entry shall contain, or, if it does .not contain, shall be conclusively assumed to contain such an undertaking; breach whereof shall be deemed a corrupt practice on the Turf within the meaning, of Part XXXII of these rules. Any horse whose nomination has not been confirmed, and all particulars as required for the raco book furnished before the handicaps are due may not be- handicapped. Any winner after the declaration of handicaps may be rehandicapped.
