THE POLITICAL ARENA.
ADDRESS BY T AIR H. E. HOLLAND. - WESTPORT, March 11. Air H. E. Holland, ALP. (Leader of the Opposition) delivered a political address in front of the Town Hall last night. Air Holland, amongst other matters, . dealt with the Buller Gorge railway con- ' struction, of which there is at present some prospect, as hut accommodation has been provided for a large number of men. Other matters discussed were the coastal . road, unemployment, the Imperial Conference, rural credits, land and taxation, the petrol tax, the loan to the Radio Broadcasting Association, the Singapore naval base, local industries and tariffs, the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, the coming Industrial Conference, and Western Samoa. At the conclusion of the address a vote of thanks was accorded the speaker and the Alayor (Mr Harkness), who presided* -
