Messrs C. I. Kidson, G. 8. Leeder, and G. I. B. Thomas have been appointed to the engineering staff of the Wellington City Council, and each will take over the supervision of certain districts of the metropolitan area. Mr Kidson has had experience . surveying and setting out hydro-electric works, and for the past two years has been with the Nelson City Council. Mr Leeder has been assistant engineer to the Timaru Borough Council, and also at Napier and at Palmerston North. Mr Thomas has been with the Public Works Department since 1920, and has been engaged chiefly in railway survey and construction work: for two years ha acted as engineer to the Main Highways Board.
