“NOT FIT TO DRIVE A CAR.” WELLINGTON, March 1. , “ This man is not fit to drive a car,” said Air J. H. Salmon, S.M., when fining George Gillie, of Petone, £25, and prohibiting him from driving until March 31, 1930, on a charge of driving a motor car in a dangerous manner. A constable stated that two children had been struck by the car and injured slightly. Witness considered that Gillie was drunk, but he sobered up before reaching the station. The defendant stated that he had had onlv one drink.
