Standcn won the Halfmile Championship in Imin G 3-ssec, the Mile Championship in 2min 28 4-ssec, i— and the Three Miles Championship in Tmin 34 l-ssec, T. Oakley being, second in each event. Oakley, however, substantiated his claim as the best unpaced grass track rider in winning the Two Miles Invitation Pursuit Race from Standen by a. margin of 100yds. Oakley's time was 4min 35 2-bsec, an I Standees 4min 41 l-ssee. Gane and Searfe, both of Wellington, were the other competitors in the pursuit event. CYCLING. WELLINGTON, February 29.
