ARMSTRONG.—On January 16, at 31 Hart street, Roslyn, Janet Elliott, widow of George Armstrong; in her ninety-first year. Private interment.

BRIGGS. —On January 19 (the result of an accident), Alfred Joseph, dearly beloved son of the late Mr and Mrs J. R. Briggs, of Caversham. Deeply mourned. CHEYNE. —On 19th January, at Glenwood Hospital, Masterton, Sarah, beloved wife Of William Cheyne. DUNCAN. —On January 22, 1928, at his son’s residence, Bortons, John Duncan, late of Dunback; in his eighty-fifth year. GREALISH. —On January 21, 1928. at her residence, Helensbrook, Milton, Mary TJualter, beloved wife of Roger Grealish, sen.; aged 88 years.—R.l.P. HARRIDGE. —On January 18, 1928, at Purakanui, Percy Henry, beloved husband of the late Daisy Harridge, of Cumberland street, and dearly loved son of Mr and Mrs Harridge, of Ravensbourne. INNES. —-Died at Bournemouth, England, on 25th December, 1927, Janet, youngest daughter of the late Robert Innes, formerly of ’Madeira, and last surviving .sister of Mrs Commin, Hastings, Hawke’s Bay. - KEITH. —On January 20, at his residence, Fairton, Ashburton, Alfred . James, beloved husband of Ellen Mary Keith : aged 68.

KENNARD. —On January 21, George, dearly loved husband of the late Kate Kennard (late of Cumberland and Union streets, Dunedin) ; in his eighty-second year. “ Perfect peace.” LANGFORD.—On 18th January, at Luggate (suddenly), Alfred, beloved husband of Annie Langford, Hunt street, Anderson’s Bay; aged 52 years. M’LEOD. —On January 22, 1928, at 50 Queen’s drive, Musselburgh, . Margaret M’Leod, late sister of Waimate Hospital. Deeply mourned.
