Honouring the Pioneers: Otama-Knapdale Jubilee Celebration.
In the late days of 1877 the Otama and Knapdale settlement commenced. A monster picnic was held at Knapdale on January 1 1 to celebrate the jubilee of taking up the land which was sold at Gore on October 4, 1877.
