As an indication of the extent of th* tobacco industry in the Marlborough district, the—quantity of tobacco shipped from the port of Motueka during 1927 totalled 672 bales and 70 cases, comparqd with 238 cases in 1926 (says the Express).’ A eon* sidorable area is down this season, bub the weather has not been altogether favourable to obtain the best results.
