" There is a fine field for snow sports open here in the winter time,” said Mr Govan, of the Te Anau Hotel, to a Southland Times representative this week. “ It is my intention to investigate the possibilities of Mount Luxmore for a ski-ing field. The place I have in mind is only about an hour's climb from the lake, and if the field is as good as I think it is it should make an ideal spot for snow sports.”
