A person ascending the stairs at the ScoLv concert in AVanganui the other evening asked for a programme and offered to pay for it (says ;the Chronicle). On being told that no charge was made for programmes he appeared surprised, and said : “AVhat? Isn’t there a Scots’ concert here to-night?”
