TWO MOTORISTS INJURED.

CHRISTCHURCH, August 27.

A motor accident occurred on the Main North road a mile from Kaiapoi at 8.30 p.m. yesterday, and as a result J. Anderson, aged 24. residing in Papnnui road, was taken to the Christchurch Hospital, and T. Clough, of Hawthorne road. Papanui. was taken to the Kaiapoi Nursing Home. The car, a five-scatci Studebaker. was being driven towards Christchurch when it went head on into a ditch about sft deep, badly damaging .he front of the car. The occupant of the back seat. Anderson, was thrown forward, receiving injuries to his head. Clough, who was in the front seat, was injured by broken glass from the windscreen. The driver of the car. Claries Edward Sisson, escaped uninjured. Anderson is reported to be making a satisfactory recovery,

At the Magistrate's Court at Kaiapoi this morning Sisson was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car, and was remanded to appear on September 7, bail being allowed.
