CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DEAD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, July 12. . A resolution congratulating dead members was passed at the annual conference of the Spiritualists’ National Union, Ltd., held. in Westminster. Jdembers present at the conference rose to their feet and in silence signified their assent to the resolution, which was proposed by Mr E. A. Keeling (Liverpool), vice-president. The resolution conveyed “hearty congratulations” to members who during the past year had been “translated to the higher life.” and expressed the hope that they would be “in communication with their, dear- ones ,on earth.” It was mentioned at the conference that the union has presented a. petition to Parliament with the object, of freeing mediumship from the taint, of the rancy -Aets. This has been signed,bv more than 40,000 people.
