Referring to the sitting of the Native Land Court in Hastings recently, Mr A. H. Ferguson, clerk of the Hawke’s Bay County Council, remarked to a Tribune representative that the Natives had gone to a lot of trouble regarding their payment of rates, and it was hoped that in the future these matters would be given even closer attention by the Maoris.
