The Lure of Lawn Tennis at Wimbledon.
In the world of competitive lawn tennis Wimbledon is the international deciding ground, and the recent tournament attracted the representatives of some twenty-two countries. All the reserved seats were sold weeks before the tournament opened, and over £33,000 was returned to unsuccessful applicants. Ten shilling seats changed hands at as high as £2O each, and queues formed up at daybreak.
