Mr J. G. Cobbe, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, calls attention to the fact that there are in the harbour 20.000 acres of water, of an average depth of 40ft (the Post remarks). “I don’t know whether the people of 'Wellington fully realise what a splendid asset they have in their harbour,” he said.
