Dr Gibbs said at the Nelson Rotary Club lunch recently that while in Canada he went to see “ the longest bridge in the world ” over the St. Lawrence at Quebec (reports the Evening Mail). Incidentally he remarked that during his tour of North America he had seen five bridges each of which he had been assured was the longest in the world.
