Twelve waggons were derailed when a goods train from Paekakariki ran into a big slip on the hillside above Kaiwarra shortly after 10 o’clock on Saturday night July 30 Several trucks were telescoped, and one crashed into a house alongside the railway line, completely wrecking a bedroom in which two children were asleep J
