“I do not ask that the sheep be given the best part of the farm, but I do ask that they be given a bit of shelter, particularly at lambing time,” stated Mr A. G. Cook, Government wool expert, at Hastings recently (states the Taranaki Herald). “Some farmers think the wire fences are sufficient shelter,” he added humorously.
