A graceful tribute was paid the other day by the Canterbury farmers, who have been visiting the West Coast, 'when they “took up a collection” for the purpose of forwarding the Blackball children, who welcomed them at the railway station, a parcel of chocolates (says the Grey Star). The sum of £2 13s which was gathered was sufficient to provide' a formidable packet of toothsome chocolates, which will doubtloss be fully appreciated by the children.
