HARROW. Each set of discs here has its outer • end pivotally connected to a rigid extension from the crossbar. The inner ends of each pair are connected by a U-shaped
member, which is attached to the lower end of a hand lever. Each pair of discs may thus be angled as desired. The implement is intended to prepare corn stubble for grain planting with one harrowing. SPROCKET-TYPE PULVERISER. The sprocket wheel here is made to ride loosely on the concave faces of two adjacent disc wheels of the pulveriser.
One is placed between each pair of diso wheels, and acts as a scraper for them, as well as pulverising the soil. TONGUE FOR WAGONS, ETC. Rabbets are formed on each side of thia tongue. The metal reinforcement covers these, and is notched at the end of the rabbets. The channels thus formed re-
ceive inward extensions of a clip which is attached to the neck yoke. The latter may be easily attached to or detached from this tongue. APPLE PICKER. This picker consists of a pole with an attached tubular fabric conveyor. Inside the top ring is a metal cap with a V<

lever on the other flap to close the collar. The neck pad is of light metal underlaid with felt and covered with leather, and it straps on to the collar. FRUIT PACKING DEVICE. “ Ring Packing ” which gives a bulga on the upper layer of fruit, adds to the appearance of fruit on display, but is not much used on account of the skill required. This device has a bottom which
forms the fruit in rings. When it is filled, a basket is placed over it, the two inverted, and the packing device withdrawn, leaving the basket properly
