Last Dart raced five times in England as a two-year-old, and won Wilford Nottingham (11 runners), second (beaten neck) in Guatby Lincoln (18 runners), 3rd Selling Manchester (7 runners), 3rd T.Y.O. Newmarket (23 runners), and fourth the other start. He won races in New Zealand, and is credited as being one of the best horses seen in work at Riccarton.
