The Power Boards’ Conference at AVellington last week elected Mr AVatt to the executive and Mr Cable to represent the supply authorities. “How many cases have you had this last six months?” asked the chairman at the meeting of an authority, at the conclusion of an Auckland traffic inspector’s report the other evening (says the Star). “None,” replied the inspector. “Well,»you can be too easy. Go for some of those fellows, and break your ‘duck.’ ” —Laughter.)
