TAIERI POULTRY SOCIETY.
A meeting of the Taieri Poultry Society held on Saturday night was presided over by Mr J. *P. Walls (president) . The principal business was to receive the secretary’s report on the recent show. This showed that, financially, it had been a success, a good credit balance being left over after all accounts had been paid. The art union had proved very sucessful—more so than some of its predecessors. A bonus of £5 was voted to the secretary (Mr John Williamson), and the committee passed him a special vote of thanks for the great energy he had displayed in connection with the society's affairs throughout the year. A special vote of thanks was also passed to the president and to Mr A. Pedofski for their labours in their respective offices. An account for insurance on the chib’s property was passed for payment. A discussion took place about ordering a supply of pigeon pens for next sho\v, but a decision -was postponed till nearer next show. A special vote of thanks was passed to Miss M'Leod, who had assisted the secretary on show day. Before disposing of the secertary’s report and balance sheet, the President, thanked the committee and all who haa helped to make the show so successful.
