DAIRY CATTLE BREEDERS.
DOMINION CONFERENCE. . PALMERSTON N., June 15. A meeting of the Dairy Cattle Breeders Federation was held this morning. A subcommittee brought down a scheme regarding-. a method of ultimately eliminating the scrub bull. The proposal was based Cn the South Australian Dairy Cattle Im-
prqyement Act, and recommended the registration of every bull each year fees and penalties to be paid into a fund from which a subsidy could be naid to the purchaser of a bull reaching a certain standard. In regard to the production of butterfat, after some discussion, the question was held in abeyance pending Mr W M. Singleton (director of the dairy division) obtaining a legal opinion concernng the position.
