The dental clinic at Tauranga District High School was opened by Lieut.colonel T. A Hunter (Director of Dental Hygiene). Mr A. Burns (chairman of tho Auckland Education Board) and Mr C. E. Macmillan, M.P., were also present. Lieut.-colonel Hunter, in the course of his remarks, said that the department had now 14 dental surgeons m the field and 62 dental nurses There were 58 dental clinics, and 65 probationers in training. To date 1200 operations had been performed, and 33,000 childrein were now under treatment. The building and the furnishing of the room here cost £320, of which the public had contributed £l4O.
