Illustrating the fact that there arc stiH some old editions of early literary publications scattered around the globe, Mr C r H. Eggleton, of Wanganui, states that last! month he purchased two volumes of Pope’s Essays., published in 1754 (reports the Wan nganui Herald). The title pages are fit two-colour lettering. The purchase was made for a few pence at a local auction mart. Mr Eggleton states that he also found a first edition of Wordsworth’s poems printed bv Didot, Paris, publisher to hit Majesty the King.
