FINAL RESULT OF ELECTIONS. TREATY PARTIES’ LARGE MAJORITY. RUGBY, June 14. The Irish voting to date shows fhat of the total poll 703,738 votes were cast for Constitutional parties, and 318,58 G for the Anti-Treaty Party. LONDON, June 15. The final result of the Free State elections is: — Government 45 De Valeraites 44 Labour 22 Farmers 11 -- National League 8 Sinn Fein 6 Independent 14 Independent Republican ... 1 EIGHTY-EIGHT DEPOSITS FORFEITED. LONDON, June 17. The Times states that 88 candidates forfeited their deposits of £lOO, as they failed to secure the necessary quota of votes. MR COSGRAVE MAY CONTINUE.

DE VALERA’S ATTITUDE

LONDON, -June 17. It is persistently reported in lhe Dail lobbies that, despite Mr Cosgrrve’s contention that the onus of carrying or rests with the Opposition, some other party on Tuesday will nominate him to the Presidency to enable him to form a Ministry. “The deputies of my party will never take the oath of allegiance,’’ asserts Da Valera. “We give allegiance to the Irish nation and its people only. Our p'-oplo will insist upon the speedy abolition of the degrading penal oath, which disfranchise* one-third of the electorate.” PUBLIC TO BE EXCLUDED.
