SCARLET FEVER.
WELLINGTON PROVINCE AFFECTED. WELLINGTON, June 15. ■ The Wellington provincial district is at tho moment experiencing an undue incidence of scarlet fever. Fortunately it is of a comparatively mild nature. The latest figures available are those for tho week ended noon on Monday. These show a total of 66 cases, and one death for tho whole of New Zealand. Of these 66 cases nine occurred in the Wanganui-Horowhenua health district, 15. in the Wairarapa-East Cape district, 13 in the Central Wellington health district, while the remainder were distributed, amongst the other 10 health districts into which New Zealand is divided for administrative purposes. These latest figures show an increase of four over those of the preceding week for the Dominion. The Health Department has taken special measures to deal with this outbreak; and has communicated with all head masters of schools. \
