Last session the Labour Party did not treat the. Summer-time Bill as a party matter; its members expressed divergent views upon the subject, as was also done on the other side of the House. The question whether the party shall pledge itself to support Mr Sidey’s measure ns a party will be debated at tho forthcoming annual conference of the New Zealand Labour .Party, to be held at Napier. Several remits recommending that tho conference should accord its support to the principles contained in "the Bill appear on the agenda paper.
