MURIWAI BEACH RACES.
STUTZ CAR ANNEXES CUP. AUCKLAND, March 6. At the Muriwai Beach motor races the New Zealand Motor Cup resulted: —R. B. Wilson’s Stutz 1, Hope Bartleets’s Sunbeam 2. Time, 36min 36 2-ssec. These were the only two to finish. Wilson won the race last year. Light Car Cup.—Hope Bartleet’s Bugatti 1, A. Irving’s Bugatti 2, A. J. Roycroft’s Bugatti 3. Tho winner, who comes from New South Wales, developed a speed of 72 miles an hour. The open sprint handicap was won by tho Todd Motor Company’s Chrysler, the Open Handicap by W. H. Cropp’s Chevrolet, the Ladies’ Handicap by Mrs MTar lane in an Ansaldo, and the All-comers’ Handicap by Cropp’s Chevrolet. The course for the New Zealand Motor Cup was 50 miles. Great crowds attended the races, which were free from accidents.
